By downloading, installing, or using the UNTETHER application ("App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
You must be at least 18 years of age to use this App. By using the App, you represent and warrant that you are 18 years of age or older. The App is not directed at, and must not be used by, anyone under the age of 18.
UNTETHER is a personal wellness and recovery support tool designed to assist adults with quit-date tracking, money-saved calculations, journaling, goal setting, hydration tracking, optional daily reminder notifications, and self-directed mind tools and self-reflection exercises. The App is a self-help tool only and is suitable for anyone working to change any habit or addiction, not limited to alcohol and other drugs.
UNTETHER is not suitable for, and must not be used as a substitute for:
The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, or therapy. Mind tools, self-reflection exercises, breathing exercises, and wellness content are for informational and personal self-help purposes only.
The box breathing exercise in the App is intended as a general wellness and relaxation tool only. It is not a medical intervention and is not suitable for all users.
The box breathing exercise follows a 4-4-4-4 pattern: inhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds, exhale for 4 seconds, hold for 4 seconds. Before using this exercise, you acknowledge that:

Your use of the App does not create a therapeutic, counselling, medical, psychological, or any other professional relationship between you and the developer. The developer is not a licensed healthcare professional in their capacity as app developer. Nothing in the App constitutes professional advice of any kind.
You acknowledge and agree that:
This App is strictly intended for users aged 18 years and older. By using the App, you confirm you are at least 18. The developer does not knowingly permit use by, or collect information from, anyone under 18. If you become aware that a person under 18 is using the App, please contact us at untetheraod@gmail.com.

All data you create within UNTETHER is stored locally on your device using on-device application storage (including the device's native key-value storage on supported platforms). This data is not intentionally transmitted to, collected by, or accessible to the developer or any third party. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for full details.
The App includes an optional daily reminder feature that schedules local notifications on your device at times you choose. These notifications are generated entirely on-device and are not sent from any server or monitored by the developer. You may enable or disable them at any time within the App.
UNTETHER includes an optional "Buy Me a Coffee" button on Android and web versions only that links to an external third-party donation platform. Donations are entirely voluntary and non-refundable. This button is not available in the iOS version in compliance with Apple App Store guidelines (Guideline 3.1.1). Donation processing is handled solely by the third-party platform.
The App is distributed through the Apple App Store and Google Play Store. These platforms are independent third parties and are not responsible for the App, its content, or any support obligations. Your use of those platforms is subject to their respective terms of service.

You may not reproduce, distribute, sublicense, or create derivative works from the App without prior written permission.
The App is provided on an "as available" basis. The developer does not guarantee the App will be available at all times, free of errors, or uninterrupted. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, update, or permanently discontinue any part of the App at any time without prior notice.
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, the App is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, reliability, or non-infringement.
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies any consumer rights, guarantees, or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or any other applicable consumer protection legislation.
Subject to the above, and to the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of or inability to use the App, including but not limited to loss of data, personal injury, emotional distress, relapse, or loss of revenue.
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will indicate the date of the most recent revision at the top of this document. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia. Any dispute shall be subject to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia. Nothing in this clause limits any rights under the Australian Consumer Law or other non-excludable consumer protections.
